Best Restaurants for Groups in Decatur

I went twice in one week because I like this restaurant THAT much as a GF food lover. Jules was my server both times and is such a welcoming and warm person. She even remembered me and that I was GF! My favorite items are: -burger (even though  they are known for their top us, the burger cannot be beat, and the gluten-free bun is one of the best I have ever had! -octopus/pulpo (probably my favorite tapas! Octopus cooked incorrectly as a gummy nightmare, but this dish could not have been made better in my opinion!) -broccolini (the crema it comes with his so refreshing and light) -branding (crispy fish and great crispy veggies on the side) -patatas bravas (ALWAYS a fav!) -mushroom flatbread (very very heavy on the cheese and lighter on the mushroom, but still good. The gluten-free flatbread exceeded expectations.) The almond cake with olive oil gelato is fantastic as well.

Wonderful dining experience; perfect for conversational dining(Date night or friends catching up) Ambiance is elegant yet relaxing. Food was flavorful and prepared perfectly. Staff was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Pianist was marvelous- so talented, certainly balanced the ratio between elegance and fine dining. 100% recommend.

The experience is so worth it- book the reservation! The wine, cocktails, appetizers, dishes, fun hats and music! You will not be disappointed! Service was a tad slow at first- seemed she may have been double or triple seated pretty close together but made up for it with her warmth and her knowledge of the menu! The expo runners and bussers were so kind and welcoming- the “salúd” with the delivery of cocktails was such a nice touch! The decorations are truly over the top in the most mesmerizing way! I felt like Carrie Bradshaw getting Chinese food with Miranda on Valentine’s Day! Surrounded by beautiful decorations! Will definitely return to catch more decorations for a different holiday! Brava, Mama Gale and team! Wow!

We celebrated a birthday with a dinner at Cafe Lily. Bread and lettuce salad were excellent. Our entrees- pinchitos and gamberi alla Rosa (shrimp and pasta) both were excellent. Service was attentive, friendly, and prompt. The dining area is a bit small, and we were seated near the front door, despite having made our reservation a month ago. The house treated us with a complementary birthday dessert- lemon sponge custard with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. We will definitely be back.

First time dining at 256 restaurant. Truly enjoyed the experience and ambience. Waiter was excellent and the meal was great!
