The oldest family run restaurant in London. Spanning 6 decades and three generations, Il Portico Restaurant on Kensington High Street has been cooking regional Italian specialities since it was first opened in the 1960"s by acclaimed chef Pino Chiavarini. Still managed to this day by the same family, siblings James and Francesca draw heavily from their roots, providing simple, authentic Italian food from their home region of Emilia Romagna and beyond. Since 1967, diners at the Tiroler Hut have enjoyed hearty Austrian-fare accompanied by live music in this cosy, cult basement restaurant.Your host, the octogenarian Josef, opened the Hut and is still at the helm with his family alongside him, so you can expect a homely, Austrian enclave under bustling Westbourne Grove complete with cheese fondue, schnitzel, ice-cold beer, and, yes, the odd yodelling session. Or cowbell show. Or accordion rendition of 'Do-Re-Mi'. Probably all of them, truth be told.It's a very good place for a night out (and late night food) and even better when enjoyed with friends and family; in the words of the late, great A. A.     7 of us had a pre-Christmas family get together. The Ladbroke Arms never disappoints. The menu was varied and interesting - catering for everyone - the brown prawn crumpet was amazing, the burger is always great and the flatiron steak amazing too. The staff are lovely and also efficient - even when the place is packed. Atmosphere is just great - a mix of ages, lively but you can still have a conversation. Exceptional value for money and just a great evening. Well done!

    An outstanding restaurant with delicious food, some of it sourced directly from Kent, my absolute favourite Italian restaurant having visited it for over 20 years. Excellent wine list and great service, relaxing ambience. Highly recommended.

    Best sushi ever - not in London, but just everywhere! They have an impressive menu with choices of Japanese or Peruvian dishes, and each creation is delicious and beautiful. The attention was great! We had tacos for starter, the crab one its incredible, and we shared few rolls which were also very good. If you are looking for quality Just do yourself a favour and eat here.
