Best Restaurants for Groups in Peoria/East Peoria

Had a lovely catch up with a very good friend over delicious food. Had the artichoke, the lamb, and the oxtail and pesto pastas. Everything was wonderful.

We had a wonderful waitress and experience at Jonah’s on Saturday night. My husband order shrimp with his filet and the kitchen plated fried shrimp instead of grilled. My husband didn’t mind, but the waitress noticed and was quick to make it right. The grilled shrimp that he ordered were going to be a 15 minute wait, so she gave us a free dessert instead. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch.

The food, drinks and service were top notch. The decor seems a little dated but is in very good condition. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Our server was great. She was very friendly but didn’t over do it. This is our favorite place for steaks in all of Central Illinois.

I took my mom for a Valentine's Day lunch. We went around 3 PM, and even though my reservation was at 3:30 PM the staff were nice enough to let me in. Granted it was a low volume of people eating at the time. We were sat near the windows which added to the ambience of our visit. The music made it feel like we were in an old fancy jazz club. I had the French onion soup and the chicken sandwich while my mom had the Walnut turkey club sandwich. Both sandwiches came with well seasoned fries. The food was delicious and our waitress, Annette, was very attentive and sweet. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go again. I would highly recommend the Walnut Room.
