They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. This place is fantastic! I came a couple years ago on a whim and it didn’t disappoint. I try and make it here every time I’m in the city. The atmosphere is awesome, a lot of cool history in the building. Definitely recommend!

We have come here about half a dozen times and most of the time it’s a lovely experience. The oysters are always fab. The fish is always fab. Drinks are on point. The problem is often with meat dishes lacking the depth of flavor found in their seafood dishes. But it’s always a treat to end with their apple galette - best dessert ever!
