Best Restaurants for Groups in Tavernier

As always the prime rib & clam casino were delicious it’s one of our favorite restaurants to eat while being in Marathon

I’m just a little disappointed with the food. The food there used to incorporate everyone. I only eat seafood and vegetarian items. They got rid of a lot of things I can eat and I felt very limited. They said they change their menu every 6 months so I’ll go back then and hope to see more options for people that don’t eat meat.

Good food but not the ingredients advertised on the menu. The Caribbean rub chicken cake without the advertised fried plantains. The pea and prosciutto salad came without the advertised English peas and snap peas, and came only with the fava beans. No mention or apology by the server for any of those omissions. Odd. But the good as served was good. My wife thought $48 for a roast half chicken was a bit high but it was well prepared (except for the missing plantains) and you are paying for location and ambiance, which are lovely. The key lime pie is very good. The Caribbean coconut custard nearly as good. Far Niente Chardonnay runs $170 which is a bit dear but location, location, location. This is our fourth stay at Cheeca Lodge and good food is part of it, so we will be back.

We had two visits to this restaurant during our Keys trip. The food, the service, the Italian ceramic tables and the videos of Italy bring you to another place! Antonio was our server and he was awesome!!

Bonnie and the entire staff are outstanding and food was like no other. Authentic and amazing entrees. Highly recommend!
