Best Restaurants for Groups in Waldo

The owner and chef, Amante, has done a phenomenal job in curating this menu which is off the charts. They employ the Japanese practice of dry aging fish, which makes the dishes, especially the sushi quite delicious. The bartender is world class and their cocktails are made with much care and attention to detail. The ambience makes you feel you’re somewhere in New York or San Francisco. I believe there’s a good value for the money which all in ranges from $75-$100 a head. I plan to return here quite often as it is one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City.

We always love Buca. We had Caesar salad, chicken parmesan, shrimp alfredo, and stuffed shells. Everything was delicious. The service is always good as well. It can get a little bit loud at times just due to large parties, but it doesn't bother us. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience!! Due to a change of plans, we arrived about an hour early for our reservation on Christmas Eve and they were kind enough to accommodate us right away. I also want to mention that we originally booked a standard table but the high top was even better for the views and ambiance. We sat right in front of the most beautiful mahogany bar and got to watch the bartenders climb up and down the super high ladder. The food was all exceptional but the baked pimento cheese tray was to die for. The fresh baked sourdough bread was also phenomenal. We had mostly seafood and everything was delicious.

Always such a good time. Great atmosphere, great food and great drinks. My husband recently found out he’s gluten intolerant and they have a lot of gluten free options noted on the menu. Our server was great at answering any questions we had. The “D” Cup cocktail was yummy and definitely would get again. We tried the steak tartare and a couple rolls to start and all were fantastic. Too many good entrees to list that we like but you can’t go wrong with any. This is a restaurant we will continue to visit every year over Christmas when in town!
