SANTA WAS DISAPPOINTING THIS TIME BECAUSE KIDS COULD TELL HE WAS JUST DRESSED UP, NOT IN TO THE CHARACTER AND NOT THE REAL SANTA. THE LAST FEW YEARS YOU'VE HAD AN OLDER MALE WHO REALLY PLAYED THE PART.More infoAlmaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Wrigleyville•4.6

The cocktails were creative but not overwhelming, however, the variety of "infusions" (vodka infused with herbs or fruit) was great and fun. Enjoyed the horseradish infusion to sip on during much of the meal, and a cherry infusion later. It's easy to share all of the courses. The appetizers are shown to guests on a cart. The roe tart was very tasty as was the egg with tarragon mayo and sardine. We also had a bread basket, fresh pickles and rolled eggplant. One could make a meal of an infusion and a variety of apps. A highlight was the duck, borsch soup with a side of garlic rolls. We subsequently enjoyed a creamy lasagna-like dish, side of kasha and potato pancakes. For dessert, we enjoyed a yummy multi-layer spice cake. Service was good although not flawless - and did not prevent us from having a great meal.More infoAnelyaPrice: Expensive• Ukrainian• Avondale•4.6

We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was $25. French onion soup was tasty but the bread overpowered the cheese. Loved the buffalo wings.. small and crispy, not gooey and lots of them. Great share plate. Deviled eggs were a treat and the shrimp ceviche was exceptional. Fellow diners had cheeseburger and specials.. steak and halibut. All were beautifully presented and enjoyed, although my husband would have liked his steak to be hotter when served. We will definitely go back.More infoThe Lakefront RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Lincoln Park•4.7
