King Tide Fish & Shell, led by Executive Chef Alexander Diestra, is a riverfront seafood restaurant and bar inspired by the laid-back fishing lodges of family vacations gone by. With sparkling waterfront views of the Willamette, a welcoming energy and a menu that ranges from no-fuss to fancy, here at King Tide we serve fresh, inventive seafood dishes with local ingredients that are uniquely Portland. There aren't many places that command the vantage point we enjoy here at King Tide, so we like to make sure it lives up to Portland. We do that with a blend of the traditional and the non, the comfortable and the slightly twisted, the satisfying food and the swinging drink. As we like to say, King Tide is where food & drink & people always complement each other, and everything goes with the view.

What a great place. Took my girlfriend there for a bday dinner. It was great to watch the chefs cook. The place was full but it didn’t feel crowded. The food was AMAZING. We started with focaccia and prosciutto, and the trout caesar salad. Yum! The salad was better than I expected. Really delish. Then we had a fish special with pine nuts, pesto and fried potatoes that was out of this world. And we went for the crab truffle primi even though they ran out of crab. Very rich and good. We had the bucini dessert which also delicious. We had a few cocktails and an orange wine -all really great. Service was just perfect. Would definitely return.

First time we visited. The space is very nice and not overly noisy even when full. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. Food was very good with appropriate portioning so you can enjoy the food and not have to loosen your belt when you leave. It’s our new favorite! They also have parking!!!!

The food, the people, the drinks, you can’t go wrong. Your dining experience can be adventurous or safe with lots of well known options and maybe something you’ve never tried before, but it’s all made with love and care. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door and are taken care of right up until you leave. One of my favorite restaurants in Portland.

Great “experience” dinner. We were 2 adults and 2 tween/teen kids. We ordered the urban fondue experience x3 plus extra sides. It was enough food, but not overly so, and everyone found things they thoroughly enjoyed, especially the chocolate! We dined for about 2 hours and we never felt rushed which was great.
