Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Ukrainian Village

Chicago, do not sleep on this gem! With the chef’s background of having worked in Miami and Italian restaurants here, the menu has a delightful variety of Latin classics and fresh pasta. Our table ordered all of the above and every detail was extremely well crafted. I had the churrasco which was cooked to perfection. Staff is super friendly and hospitable. La Perla treats their guests like they’re welcoming friends into their home. Do not skip it!

We dined with family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner at Roanoke. We could not have been happier. The set menu still allowed diners to individually select drinks, appetizers, sides, the main dish (turkey and trimmings, salmon, steak), and dessert. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned. The wait staff was attentive. It was a packed house (because who cooks anymore?). We even ordered an extra plate to go (because leftovers are a must!). If Roanoke offers Thanksgiving dinner again, we will book it again!

The ambience was cool for the holidays. The holiday drinks were festive and good. Food was GOOD and not expensive. Treat yourself to the fried lobster bites. Our waitress was average, however her help was excellent. Hard workers. Good, overall experience.

We had another wonderful meal at Avec! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.

Maggiano’s is one of those places where I’ve never had a bad experience. The service is always great, the food is always delicious, and the ambiance is fantastic. I love this place!
