- MMikeEssex •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoExceptional, again!. This was our second year visiting the weekend before Christmas for an early afternoon dinner. Every part of the meal was perfect. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. The restaurant fell warm and welcoming and not over crowded but best of all, the food was incredible. Cannot rate The Anchor highly enough and you can be sure we will be returning next year.!!More infoThe Anchor Inn - NaylandPrice: Moderate• British• Nayland•4.6
- CCaroleEssex •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoA really lovely meal, plenty of it and it was hot. Served with a smile and it was not too expensive. We had to move the date and they were very accommodating. We had a meal there over a year ago and it wasn't very nice. We tried it again as there are new owners and we will most definitely be back.More infoAngelPrice: Moderate• Pub• Braintree•3.6
- MMartinEssex •1 review4.0Dined 5 days agoGreat lunch. Booked a business lunch for 2 on a Wednesday before Christmas - we were the only ones in the restaurant which was a bit disconcerting and made me question whether I had got things wrong but I need not have worried. The food was excellent - very well presented and extremely tasty and the service was very polite and efficient (as expected when only 2 people in the restaurant!). I was advised that they are usually busy and things were manic from that evening onwards until there New Year so hope this was the case and the restaurant will continue as I would happily eat there again. Would happily recommend.More infoCaesar@DolphinPrice: Expensive• European• Braintree•4.7

Staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble and nice with it. Not my first visit and won't be my last either!More infoThe Old Siege House Bar & BrasseriePrice: Expensive• European• Colchester•4.6
