Always a favourite, cosy and relaxed with fantastic service and food. Nothing is too much trouble but equally the team are t over-baring. Roaring fire and a decent glass of wine to go with a belly busting but beautifully cooked roast dinner.

Great food and lovely atmosphere, plenty of space! Open fires a real treat.

We drove from Northampton to meet family for a fantastic Sunday roast at The Bell Inn at Purton Stoke which we have done for the last 3 years on the Sunday before Christmas. The food is phenomenal you will not find a better fresh home cooked Sunday roast anywhere. The service is quick and impeccable and the atmosphere is warm friendly and fun. The price is higher than say the average roast at your local restaurant or Toby but it is so worth it, there is that saying you get what you pay for. That is so very true. I would rather pay a bit more and know I'm guaranteed fabulous fresh home cooked food than pay less and have food that has been pre cooked frozen then defrosted in a microwave. You will totally enjoy your visit to The Bell Inn at Purton Stoke, wish it was closer to where we live. The pub itself is a gem which has a vast history, the staff are warm friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It's incredible clean in there and the toilets are as clean and fresh smelling as your toilets at home which I think are so vitality important. Great evening with our friends for dinner. This is the 3rd time we’ve eaten here with these particular friends and we’ve been unable to fault anything. The pub is immaculate, the food was fantastic as always and the staff very friendly. It was quite loud on this particular evening as there was a large group of men on a Christmas party, we didn’t mind this at all and the staff must have thought ahead and seated us in one of the little snug areas.

Went for mid-week pre-Christmas lunch, meeting relatives half-way between our respective homes. Warmly welcomed on arrival and well attended from the word 'go'. We were a party of 5 adults and 3 had pre-ordered the Festive menu with the others choosing from the standard menu on arrival. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and well portioned. Our waitress allowed a sufficient (and much needed!) gap between the main and dessert courses which emphasised the relaxed atmosphere and we never felt that we were being rushed, or hurried along. The restaurant was reasonably busy, so there was an agreeably gentle buzz and the background music was not at all intrusive. All in all a really enjoyable experience ... good food in a lovely setting with relaxed but quietly efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended.
