- RRonnieNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoEasily the best dining experience in Newcastle. This is a gem of a place which is a must for dining. There is a set menu for those on a budget which is outstanding quality and choice. Or if you are in the mood for more the a la carte is a great option. The selection of dishes are seasonally based and cater for all diets - you will not be disappointed. Service and ambience are a delight and as soon as you walk in you are made to feel welcome and important. We are not from Newcastle but every time we visit (this is now our third dining experience) we make a point of going here and will definitely return.More infoBlackfriars RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.6
- HHelenNewcastle and Northumberland •6 reviews4.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025The restaurant was fairly quiet, seated quickly and drinks and food orders taken promptly, menu items explained, staff friendly. The wait for the food was about 35 minutes however it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens and there were clean plates all around. Beautifully cooked and presented, excellent quality and flavour and clearly fresh and cooked to order. The lamb and mint pie with home cooked chips was a highlight, one of the best pies I’ve ever had.More infoThe Lion & LambPrice: Moderate• British• Horsley•4.8
