Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Maidstone

Whilst I have had nicer afternoon teas, it was very enjoyable and the venue was gorgeous. Staff were friendly. Cocktails were a dream! Bit of a journey to get there but well worth it on a sunny day!

It was a 'Grease' themed afternoon tea. Cleverly met the thene, food was delicious (and plentiful) and staff were outstanding

You must go to the Fancy Fox! Let’s start with decor- absolutely stunning! The most beautifully decorated cafe/restaurant I have ever attended. Food- outstanding! Fresh, home made and absolutely delicious! We had the Afternoon Tea and it was THE BEST I have ever tasted! And I didn’t feel full after- that is always a sign of good ingredients! Service! Exemplary! Kerry was our waitress and the loveliest waitress! So kind, friendly, attentive, polite, smiley! Utterly charming. My daughter has special dietary requirements and Kerry was extremely accommodating to her needs. I cannot recommend the Fancy Fox highly enough. We will be back! Service was adequate, waitress did not know what the fish was with the fish and chips, and no offer to find out when asked! The curry was nice, but should have come with rice, poppadom and naan bread. The naans turned out to be tortilla wraps! Service was very slow, especially for drinks Restaurant area is tired and needs refreshing

I cannot praise this place highly enough. It is a little hidden gem in the park. The service and food were outstanding and extremely reasonably priced. Cooked to perfection with lovely, fresh ingredients. Our waitress, Storm, was just wonderful. We had a lovely view of the terrace. I will definitely be going back. I said at the time I'm torn between recommending it constantly, and keeping quiet so that it remains just as is it!
