Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Carlsbad

Although I saw great reviews on Open Table, I was a bit skeptical, based on the location & restaurant name. However, The Tavern delivered. It is a funky spot in Solana Beach...sort of a warmup spot for the bar/entertainment next door (which was packed - tickets sold in advance). Our waiter, Juan, was well versed on the menu and made great suggestions. My wife had the Scallops, which she loved. I ordered the Italian Sausage Pappardelle...Juan suggested adding Linguine ... and I did. It was excellent. The dessert - if you're into dessert...the Reese's Peanut Butter Pie...off the charts. Plenty big for sharing.

Our server Zach provided great service. He gave us enough time to choose and had good recommendations as well. We provided excellent service. Food taste good. Ambience is overlooking and near a window as I have requested when I made the reservation. We’ll be back again soon.

We had just watched a Candlelight Concert at The Star Theatre for friends and wanted a place to eat a little something and have some cocktails. Masters delivered! Our waitress, Mariah was excellent, salads and quesadillas were large, and cocktails wonderful! The decor and ambience at Masters is lovely.
