Deme, short for Demeter, (the Greek Goddess of the Harvest) is a new Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean Sea-inspired poolside eatery at Hotel Figueroa, with nods to the sea-faring communities along the Eastern Mediterranean Coast, Turkey, and Israel, led by Executive Chef Blake Shailes.     The service was exceptional. Everyone was so nice and the food was really delicious! The only reason for knocking off 1 star was because both dishes that I had ordered were a little spicy. It was spice that I could handle but I wasn’t expecting it so I wished that the waiter made that known so I could have picked a different item. Overall the duck confit and short rib has were still really good and would order again.

    We ordered the prime rib and it was delicious. It was very tender. The prime rib was prepared the way we ordered it and the sides (creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding) were wonderful. We enjoyed our meal and our service was friendly and attentive.

    Our dining experience was great. We came to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. We were accommodated to a lovely table and treated to a birthday dessert. Waiters were very attentive and we loved the heated lamps.

    This was absolutely a great place to have brunch. I love the decor and the ambiance. The staff is amazing and the food not only looks professionally plated but the taste was incredible. After brunch we moved over to the lounge by the fireplace what a cozy experience. I loved everything about Cafe Fig.
