Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Kansas City

Dinner was delicious. Table was comfortable. I like how you keep it dark and moody, but you have a light shining directly on the table so that we can read a menu and see what we're eating. Our server was excellent. Thanks for the birthday cake.

Service was attentive. Food was good dessert was the highlight for the family. Salmon was cooked perfectly, bolognese could have had a little more sauce. Accommodated the one dietary restriction in our party. Will definitely return.

Every year I go to Tavern during restaurant week and every year I leave stuffed and happy. Usually I get the wedge salad, steak, whipped potatoes, green beans and these yummy little pillowy doughnuts for dessert. Tonight it was Cesar salad, steak with risotto, peas and crispy carrot straws and the delicious doughnuts. There was a warm, soft roll with my salad and the carrots and risotto were every bit as good as the filet. The service was wonderful, the ambiance cozy … I had a fantastic time! Highly recommend. (And there are many other yummy dishes on the regular menu to enjoy other weeks of the year).

Fabulous experience! Gorgeous this time of year!. Server went out of her way to accommodate. Food was excellent. Valet service was great. Only complaint is that they are limiting their menu on the weekends because it gets so busy when people are in town for the games, so they didn’t have some of my favorites available.
