We normally love The Banks but the food tonight did not deliver the nuanced, wonderful experience we’ve come to expect. Let me first say that the service was outstanding as usual and that was fantastic. But to the food. Specifically, the salmon with saffron risotto—the risotto was so cheesy that it actually over-powered the saffron giving it a thick pasty texture. The Halibut was described as having Lion’s Mane mushroom which I love and was excited about. Well, on entire plate there were two 1/4 inch pieces of Lion’s Mane dowsed in a thick mushroom sauce that was almost gummy. The root vegetable gratin again was overly cheesy to the point that you could not taste the vegetables. Overall the food lacked finesse and both meals were disappointing.

We had a lovely time at Tresca- dimly lit with a moderate noise level- close seating but not so much that I felt our conversation was being overheard all the time. The food was delicious- we had Mussels, Scallops, and the Chicken Marsala and all three brought smiles to our faces. Two breasts for the chicken Marsala so I had leftovers too! I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice date spot.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food was incredible, with every dish packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I truly appreciated how accommodating they were with my dairy and gluten intolerance, ensuring I had a delicious and safe meal. Highly recommend for both the quality of food and outstanding hospitality!
