Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in The Village

Our New Year's Day dinner at Reign was outstanding! Half a dozen oysters to start, nice and fresh with freshly shave horseradish and two sauces; entrees consisted of lobster linguine, perfectly cooked al dente, braised beef cheeks that were melt in your mouth tender, Cornish hen and duck a l'orange, cooked medium. Everything tasted delicious (we like to share!) and the presentations were first class. Entree plates were nice and warm, the sigh of a top-notch venue. Services was very professional, charming and impeccable. We felt very well taken care of, in an authentic way. Place was not full, but we weren't looking for a high-energy place after NYE. It was very enjoyable and just the dinner we were looking forward to kick off 2025. Also the decor around the hotel was simply stunning, well done Royal York! We will definitely be back, and not just on special occasions. Merci!

This is the most authentic British tea experience in Toronto- from the menu to the tea selection and the overall ambience and aesthetic- it is simply perfect!

We wanted a quiet Christmas dinner just for the two of us. This restaurant absolutely delivered all that and more. The initial greeting as you walked in was superb and inviting. Staff and owner was very attentive and made us feel like family, that was amazing. The recommendations on the food and drink was A+. I had the pleasure of dining at Joni Restaurant yesterday for a Christmas dinner with my son, and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, warm, and professional. The chef’s menu was outstanding, featuring creative dishes that were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and festive, but I couldn't help but feel that a touch of Christmas music—perhaps soft background tunes or even a live band or singer—would have elevated the holiday spirit even further. It was the only element missing from an otherwise perfect evening. Thank you to the entire team at Joni Restaurant for making our Christmas dinner special. We will definitely be back
