Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Lomas Altas

My husband and I spent a month in Mexico City eating in a different restaurant from the Michelin Guide each evening. Migrante was by far the best. The atmosphere is lovely, the waitstaff is excellent and the food is inventive, beautifully presented, reasonably priced, and delicious.

Exceptional variety and flavor balancing across all the dishes. Truly a standout meal experience and our most memorable in CDMX. The lamb was a particular highlight - cooked to perfection.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the moussaka—a fantastic dish that delivers both flavor and authenticity. Another standout was the “Chips de calabaza & berenjena”—a delightful appetizer. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make the experience memorable. Went to my first Thanksgiving Dinner here at Marriott/Sendero. It was hands down really great. All the comforts of home without the cranky uncle. Food was amazing! Great turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes. I wanted more but didn’t have enough room. My only recommendation is to offer traditional thanksgiving turkey dinners through the weekend. Because Im sure there were a lot of leftovers, and I would have personally, gone again the next day or the day after that. Thanks and great job Sendero!!

Service was only ok. Prices are steep for value. Not bad, not excellent.
