Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Maalaea

Generally fine but scallops were soggy and not really seared at all. Very pricey for what you get.

You wouldn't think this little market could turn into a Michelin Star Restaurant on weekend nights but the quality of food is sensational. The wine list was very well curated and reasonably priced, but a welcome change from the Big Hotel lists that are really poor, we bought two bottles. Service was light hearted, fun and inclusive. We had a couple of Prix Fixe dinners and added the Tomahawk steak, plenty of food for 4 people and you get to taste everything on the menu. We tried several cocktails as well, very creative and great pairing with the cuisine. I took the advice of a local wine shop owner because I would have never tried it for dinner, I had a couple of sandwiches for lunch and could hardly imagine the transformation. Take my advice, this was teh best meal I've had on the island.

Haven is a wonderful addition to Maui’s dining options. We’ve had dinner and lunch there and are going back for happy hour tonight. The food is creative and delicious. Service is great. The ambiance on Maalaea harbor can’t be beaten. Highly recommended.

Bistro Casanova is one of our go to places on Maui. I think we have eaten there at least 25 times. The food is always consistently good and the prices are very fair. The menu isn’t extensive, but offers something for every food taste and dietary needs. It seems like every time I go I ordered the same thing - Angle Hair “Checca”, but last night I tried something new, chicken Parmesan. It was really good; in fact, I am planning another outing there soon just to have it again. Bistro Casanova is also a great place for two people to sit and dine at the bar. It’s always fun to do that and often the owners will be sitting next to you. If you haven’t tried, we still Casanova I think you’re missing out on great dining experience.

We had a fantastic experience at the chefs table! The food and staff were all amazing. Highly recommend for great food and a fun experience! We had some dietary restrictions due to pregnancy, and they were awesome at accommodating easily!
