Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Nuevo Vallarta

The service was excellent, and the food was enjoyable overall. However, the pasta with clams fell short as the clams seemed slightly past their prime. On a brighter note, the drinks from the bar were fantastic.

An intimate space tucked into a sidestreet in the Versailles area, this place is a gem. While it might be considered a "casual" restaurant there is nothing but intense professionalism with in the kitchen and front of house. Carlos does a wonderful job of looking after the customers -attentive, engaging and professional. The dishes that arrive are all innovative yet sufficiently familiar to make you feel comforted. The starters - brie and tuna tartar - were superb. The mains were equally fabulous - octopus that was incredibly tender and a red snapper grilled to perfection. A relaxing environment showing exacting standards.

We tried this restaurant in Puerto Vallarta and it was exceptional. The staff were so fun and entertaining and the food was beyond what we expected. The cocktails are next level. One of their signature cocktails all proceeds go to a local dog shelter, which is an added bonus in our books. Highly recommend..

Definitely come for the chef’s tasting menu, 7 or 10 courses. Each course was more fabulous than the last! We did not order mixed drinks but the ones that come with the tasting menu looked very intriguing and were beautifully presented. This is a place for special occasions.

Tintoque is reason enough to visit Puerto Vallarta. One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in all of North America. Truly exceptional. The tasting menu and wine pairing were so thoughtfully constructed and the extraordinary servers and sommelier obviously cared about every detail. I will return to Vallarta for this experience alone.
