- PPeterVIPWashington, D.C. Area •1 review4.0Dined todayThe food has always been outstanding and expertly presented. The menu, however, appears to be static with few changes made over the years. There are other little things that can annoy a diner who has experienced other top restaurants here and abroad. Butter is nearly as hard as a rock; it should be closer to room temperature. Another thing I noticed is that there was no attempts to remove crumbs from the table, which standard is at world-class restaurants. Tonight, it appeared as if the staff was thin and not as visible as in the past. Attention to the little things and great food is what earns Michelin stars.More infoGary DankoPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Fisherman's Wharf•4.8

- JJohnVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •19 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoJoyous experience. Our third or fourth time here, fabulous food and service each time. Maz and Jordan are extremely attentive and friendly. The dishes are exquisite and delicious. The Taste of the ocean dish is a must. So good. The menu changes seasonally, with some staples on there year round.More infoNightbirdPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.6
- RRonaldVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •26 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI ate at Akiko’s for the lunch omekase and it was superb. I also had the sake pairings and they were original and well matched with the meal. The meal began with 5 courses of Otsumami, which were lovely small courses and not really what you would think of as sushi. They were all very tasty but the standout was the milk bread toast with toro and caviar. Then came 7 different courses of nigiri, each of one piece. They were all fresh and delicious. My favorite was the uni. But the melt in your mouth toro was the epitome of what toro should be. Even the green tea ice cream for dessert was especially good. I wasn’t cheap but I can’t wait to come back.More infoAKIKOSPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• SOMA•4.8
