Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in San Jose

The food quality was fantastic last night and I prefer the slimmed down menu although I did always enjoy the Trout Almondine which is no longer served. The waitress was lovely and congratulated us on our anniversary and also helped me to use the new Vie de Vine app to redeem my coupon. There was a great jazz trio playing in the bar and they were very good, so we had a fabulous night out and will be back again soon

Get the polenta. It’s very good. And the presentation was unexpected.

The overall experience was great! Wonderful food, excellent service and a very intimate atmosphere! We sat at the counter, with gave us full access to he kitchen theater.

I didn’t realize that it’s actually within the Doubletree hotel if that’s the hotel at the Prune Yard. No one was there. According to two servers, they didn’t have our reservation or at least there wasn’t a manager to confirm. We were the only customers until later in the evening. They looked like hotel customers were coming in, sitting at the bar and the outside fire pit so we had the servers to ourselves. They were very personable, helpful & friendly. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. I was with three other people. We had a really nice time and it was for my birthday last month, but getting together with friends to celebrate.
