Koshō Restaurant at The Barlow is a modern Japanese and sushi restaurant in Sebastopol with a progressive focus on food, local ingredients, and sustainability.     Just go. There is magic in everything here. i'm a professionally trained chef (in a past life) snd i'm picky so to say the food is excellent is an understatement. Service is so warm & attentive too. our christmas eve with my family (difficult mom with dementia AND a 6 year old) was made extremely special because of their love for the business which they treat like a gift.

    The garlic knots are not to be missed. We had chicken Marsala and the small plate meatballs. All very tasty. The service staff was courteous and responsive. We liked that they cleared the dishes between courses. It appeared that they more staff than needed, some were standing around chatting. I hope they make it, Sebastopol needs them.

    My girlfriend and I went here on a date and had wonderful experience. The atmosphere, food, and service were all top notch. Easily one of the best sushi spots that I've been to. Will definitely be back.
