The Bistrot de Venise was first opened in 1993. It is a place where people can meet up and savour the Cuisine & Wine as they enjoy figurative arts, poetry, cultural gatherings and a host of other activities dedicated to Venice. …in 1999, the Bistrot de Venise took its concept of blending culture, food and wine from the Veneto region a step further when it began to carry out research into Rare Wines and Historical Venetian Cuisine. …We are still steadfastly continuing along this path today…

The Terrazzo restaurant provides outstanding food in a wonderful setting. The views to the Lagoon are superb. The service was outstanding and (positive)old fashioned. Nothing rushed, eye for detail, courteous. An oasis of delightful dining in a bit of a crazy city. Prices are high as was to be expected in a restaurant of this quality. We are modest diners and the two of us spent 350 euro (including wine). Only minor negative (not the fault of the restaurant) there was some dredging going on just some 50 meters away. That caused some noise now and then. Overall a fantastic experience.

This is the best restaurant in Venice. The service was the best I have had in decades worldwide I celebrated my 70th birthday there and it was spectacular. Everything was perfect and each dish and wine had a story behind it. We were well educated and well looked after I recommend this place above all other Venetian restaurants I have dined at over 40 years. Thank you for the memories

Impeccable service and attention during the whole meal. Attentive to every detail, the service was perfect, formal and friendly since the arrival. The quality of the product offered is outstanding, as well as the presentation and variety that can be found in the menu. The amuse-bouche already set the tone of the meal. The mix of taste and textures made everything worth it, mostly when it comes to the dessert part of the meal... Including the pre dessert and post dessert surprises. Definitely a place to try while in Venice for everything it offers.
