Best Romantic Restaurants in Highland Park

The food is always great. Well prepared and professionally presented. Our server, Isabelle, was excellent. She knew the menu and was able to explain the ingredients in the dishes to us. She made recommendations when asked and her suggestions were on target. We always enjoy our meals at this restaurant. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Great place for a holiday meal.

This was our first visit and it was outstanding! We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter was excellent, charming and very helpful. The food was unique, in our experience, beautifully presented, and delicious! Wait staff was attentive without being a distraction. It was the best local dining experience we have had in years and we can’t wait to return.

Food and service always great here. Except on this night the waitress was a little rushed and unfocused. She forgot to put the order in for one of our pizzas. Then blamed it on us saying we told her we only wanted one. Not what happed at all. We initially ordered 3 pizzas and the. She said they have gluten free why don’t you do two instead so we agreed. She only put the gluten free one in to make and we never received the regular cheese.

I really enjoyed the sushi and the service, but we were seated next to an unruly table of high school girls. The girls made so much noise while one girl was sharing pictures of her boyfriend’s privates that it made dining with my adult daughter pretty uncomfortable. Most of that is not the restaurant’s fault, except they allowed the unmissable behavior continue for the entire 45 minutes that we were seated next to them.

The drinks and food are consistently awesome. The food is high quality and a real taste of Eastern European food. The service has always been great. We travel from Wisconsin to here often, a must try if you’re anywhere close to.
