- ZZoraSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI absolutely loved the rooftop. What impressed me was a minimal menu. We had a large group and all the food was worth the value. Not cheap, so the execution of each dish was outstanding. Highly recommend !More infoRooftop - Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• American• Walnut Creek•4.5
- WWesleyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoBeing an avid House of Prime Rib(HOPR)customer for over a decade, I made sure to temper my expectations with this restaurant that has only been open for a couple of months…with that in mind, I must say that my family and I were pleasantly surprised with our overall experience. The ambiance was cute and elegant…the main dining area felt a bit chaotic with the design…large, two leveled room with a high ceiling that felt cluttered in the middle. Tables were tightly compacted and I felt like no matter how close I sat towards my table it seemed like I was in the way of the staff. There’s a separate dining room with its own bar that felt more lounge-like and intimate. I didn’t get to see the upper garden area/outside area. Now to the important part… the food!! Similar to HOPR, they had 3 options for cut size…plus another for kids and each cut includes a salad and 2 sides. They even have an option for sharing… for a small price of course. The salad options were okay… felt light on the dressing but the sides were delicious… pending on how you like your creamed spinach, this creamed spinach was delicious as well as the potatoes gratin. The star of the show/prime rib was definitely impressive! To those that love prime rib, you’ll definitely be able to taste the subtle texture and nuance of the flavor. I am not going to compare it to HOPR…just unfair to do that. Overall, the entire experience was great… solid 4/5 stars. The pricing is a bit on the higher side and I’m sure there will be tweaks and changes as it continues to grow but I will say this…the east bay definitely now has a go to prime rib spot for those special or even ordinary occasions to go to!More infoPrime Rib at the GardenPrice: Very Expensive• Prime Rib• Walnut Creek•4.1
- SShirleyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •44 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoWe had lunch here. The service was attentive. The menu had a variety of items to choose from and we enjoyed the food execution. We ordered the crab cakes, rueben sandwich and fruit cobbler. All in all it was a good experience and we would come again.More infoThe Park Bistro & BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Lafayette•4.4

As a person who has lived in Italy, I will say that Walnut Creek has many fine Italian restaurants, but nothing as authentic as Montesacro. They serve Roman style Italian food, from Cacio e Pepe to Carbonara to the delicious Pinsa pizzas (Roman style square pizzas,). They've got a great wine list as well, and the service is always very friendly and attentive. I'm a fan!More infoMontesacro Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• Italian• Walnut Creek•4.7
- JJeffreySan Francisco Bay Area •23 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoImpressive selection of champagnes and a relatively small food menu. It's a fairly small place but bright and sorta minimalist. Comfy seats to hang out in. Service was OK (we had to ask for water a couple times and ask for refills). The champagne flights were nice (3 small pours) and we got nice explanations about the houses and the champagnes themselves. The cheese board was quite tasty with 3 types of cheeses and some smaller sides (olives, fruit, jam, etc.). We didn't get any explanation about the cheeses though, or even what type of cheese they were. Unsurprisingly it was pretty expensive for 2 flights and the cheese board, but the quality all around was quite good. Definitely a nice place to get good champagne if you're feeling like splurging on something light to eat & drink.More infoFizz Walnut CreekPrice: Expensive• Wine Bar• Walnut Creek•4.2
