Dominic and Jackie Galati purchased Dominic's on the Hill in 1971 and moved in above the restaurant. Within two years, Dominic began winning national awards and has continued to do so for the last 40 years. This is an exceptional restaurant with fine Italian cuisine, professional, friendly service, & an extensive wine list. Dominic oversees the kitchen,and the menu includes fresh seafood, veal, tenderloin, lamb, and many other choices. The restaurant has a Florentine atmosphere, with low lighting, white tablecloths, & classic oil paintings. Dominic's has been honored by DIRONA, 2001 Restaurant Hall of Fame, 1999 International Award of Excellence, The Epicurean Award & was voted one of the two best Italian Restaurants in the country by Conde Nast Traveller. When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore.     We were delighted with the exceptional food we enjoyed at Madrina! The appetizer of ricotta cheese, toasted bread and honey sounded simple, but was so delicious. We also enjoyed our entrees, a pasta with shrimp, artichokes, and tasty cream sauce, and pollo Marsala. Both entrees were outstanding. Our server was pleasant and helpful, offering a taste of the wine before we ordered it. The service all evening was great. We can’t wait to go back!

    Another perfect evening. For the appetizer, we went with the Arancini. Light and delicious. The salads were great. House made croutons and dressing were delicious. For entrees, we enjoyed the Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Marsala. Each couldn’t have been better. Full of flavor, perfect portion size. I want to highlight the Gnocchi with the cheese sauce I had on the side. This was heavenly…light but bursting with flavor. Wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10!

    Great dinner and service at Trattoria Toscana. Only concern was that the restaurant was packed and it was hard at first to have a table discussion with my guest.
