Inspired by the market, Chef César Murillo utilizes exceptional ingredients at the height of their season. His tasting menu reflects the Arts & Crafts approach of the dining room - complex layers of subtle craft beneath a simple decorative style.     We were seated quickly as we had reservations. Farther from the beautiful tree, but we could see some of it. Our meals were delicious! We had the Lobster Biisque soup, Cranberry Citrus Chicken Salad Croissant, and Lobster Ravoli. Everything was scrumptious! Our server, Yolanda, was very attentive. Offered a few selections and brought us drinks. Online reservations were a bit challenging as time slots only opened up the day before our scheduled arrival. Overall, our experience at The Walnut Room was delightful!

    Great location and environment. Less stuffy than some Chicago steakhouses. Nothing really all that different on the menu, but everything was done really well. Might be the best steak I’ve ever had. Beet salad: Amazing. Bacon: Incredible. Sides: All exceptional. Didn’t leave room for dessert, maybe subconsciously to give us a reason to return.
