- DDuncanNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis is an excellent indie restaurant—food is homie but creative. Service is the friendliest on either side of the Pawcatuck. Only knock is on the clam chowder which is a bit thick, starchy or gelatinous rather than creamy from dairy. But then I’m a very fussy chowdah lover.More infoOwl and DovePrice: Moderate• American• Mystic•4.7

- RRandiVIPGreater Boston •12 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 8, 2024We have wanted to try Tin Peddler for a while, and had the perfect opportunity for a family brunch. We had an 11:00 a.m. reservation, and when we arrived the hostess informed us that they were running a little behind, so we had a 10 minute wait to be seated which was no big deal. The brunch menu is lovely. The drink menu offered wonderful brunch cocktail selections (including mocktails), and the food menu had a really nice selection of both breakfast and more savory lunch options. Everyone said their food was exceptional. Our party ordered a variety of items, including traditional breakfasts, butternut bisque, avocado toast and grilled cheese, all delicious. One funny thing that happened was the bus person took our plates before asking if we were finished, and before we realized what was happening, my son was left holding the last bites of his breakfast sandwich while his plate was cleared away. We all laughed, but this is just a little fine tuning that their staff should be trained on. The restaurant decor is really fun and inviting. The noise level did get loud at times but that seems to be common in restaurants these days because of the decor and furnishings they use, and the open concept layout. Definitely not a deal breaker. All in all we had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning to try their dinner menu!More infoThe Tin PeddlerPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• North Stonington•4.9
