Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields.     It was our first time there and after having had a really long and trying work week, we couldn’t have picked a better evening to dine out. The staff was so welcoming as we entered the door. They escorted us to our table where a gentleman promptly lit a candle and placed it along with a bottle of water, two glasses, and our dining ware at the table. He then returned with a warm batch of tender, soft bread with a small bowl of herb-infused balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was such a wonderful start to our dinner. We split the cream of potato leak soup, the Pappardelle Bolognese, and the Diavola pizza. Everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! The pappardelle was firm yet delicate and melted in our mouths. The bolognese was perfectly seasoned and had a fantastic meat to sauce ratio. We even wiped the bowl clean with our pizza crusts! The pizza had a spicy Italian sausage and mushrooms that were evenly dispersed which made every bite perfect! I had a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had the house red. Both went well with our meal. We’re definitely returning and will also bring our loved ones too!

    I went here for Valentine's Day and the experience was fabulous. The attentive service was superb and the Filipino lady who greeted us was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich, one of the better sandwiches I've had in a long time. Also, the Korean steak had lots of flavor and was delicious. We ended the meal with the lava cake which added the perfect touch. Of course, we will be back again! Thanks for the great meal!
