Meat & Potatoes is a high end gastropub in downtown Pittsburgh. Its kitchen takes as its inspiration the idea of elevating comfort food to a gourmet level. Its chefs are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and its bar staff creates innovative cocktails and serves a range of wines by the glass and draught beers, as well. The menu at Meat & Potatoes is a new take on basic.     Excellent food, polite service, great live singer. Pricey. Brussels sprouts too salty, in contrast to the sea bass which needed some added taste. Beet salad and lamb chops were excellent. Drinks and dessert were excellent.

    Every time I come to Pittsburgh, this is must on my list of places to eat. The cocktails are great, the food is very creatively put together and has tons of excellent flavors. Great service, and overall a great experience.

    Exceptional, elegant, outstanding. Our waiter Gregory was pleasant, courteous, gracious, considerate, thoughtful, understanding, accommodating, attentive and professional. Every dish of the Feast of the Seven Fishes was exceptional. Chef was superb. Staff was superb. Waiter was superb. Bartender that prepared our Old Fashion Bourbon was the best of the best. We genuinely hope that everyone has the best of holidays.
