Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. From its original opening in 2007, Joule has cultivated a loyal dining fan base and captured the attention of an admiring local and national media captivated by the couple’s unique, modern perspective on Korean cuisine. Joule, the mature sibling to Yang and Chirchi’s restaurant, Revel, highlights Korea’s love of beef featuring unconventional cuts accompanied by distinctive and shareable side dishes.Joule takes reservations for 1.75-3 hour time slots (depending on party size). Serafina opened its doors in 1991 as an intimate neighborhood restaurant located along Eastlake between the University and Downtown. Its intimate, sultry atmosphere, outdoor garden seating and its authentic Italian cuisine make it a favorite with diners from around the Puget Sound and beyond. Serafina's philosophy is simple: Offer the freshest, highest quality ingredients, present the food in an honest and inviting way, and provide the casual warmth and soothing ambiance that echoes the welcoming embrace of an Italian home. The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.

Food was amazing. Especially liked the riff on a salad lyonnaise, and the kalbi burger never disappoints.

Superb, as usual. The carrot sformato was an unusual find and quite delicious. The addition of olives to the blood orange and fennel salad hit just the right acid note, Mama’s meatballs were pure beef with a strong dash of anise seed, and the accompanying marinara had been simmering for ages to pick up that deep complexity of flavors and great balance between sweet and slightly acid.

I wanted a quality high-end dining experience and I got it. Nell’s has been around for a very long time. The restaurant is intimate without being cramped. Conversation is easy because it’s not noisy. We had quality service and the food is very good. I gave Nell’s 4 stars for value but that might be more indicative of Seattle in general than Nell’s. Compared to dining most anywhere in the world, Seattle is expensive and Nell’s seemed pricey for the portions served. But overall it’s a satisfying experience.
