Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past. We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening. Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve revelled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour. Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion. We were searching for a fun and interesting tasting menu, and Ficoa did not disappoint! We have experienced many in Toronto, and this is the first one where the chef's love and passion truly shone through. Each dish was presented by chef Gerry himself, or a member of his knowledgeable staff, who explained not only the components of each plate, but why each was meaningful to him. This translates into the atmosphere of the restaurant itself, which is warm, comfortable and inviting. Thank you chef Gerry and team for bringing us into your home.

My experience at Prime left me wanting more. The hospitality that we were shown was over the top. The team at Prime are a well oiled machine. I was blown away by our server Daniel. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular. Special shout out to the lobster spaghetti! We had a last minute addition to our reservation and Prime was able to accommodate our party from 8 people to 9 by moving us into the private dining room, "The Cottage". This room was really neat. We were able to observe some of the food prep and behind the scenes camaraderie in the kitchen. Matty Matheson has created an absolute masterpiece at Prime. Thank you for hosting us.

Love, love, Loved! Every review I read about this place was spot on. Love the retro vibe, the music selection, the wine, the food. The service! Also the decor just topped it off for me! It’s the kind of place you want to go and tell your friends about it. Also the cocktail bar afterwards is a must!

The value for what we had was outstanding - sashimi dishes were very fresh, very nice quality, and the rolls were delicious. The karaage was great as well. We ordered around 8:45pm and several dishes were sold out: all of the wagyu dishes, the spring rolls, and the hapa pockets; the sushi bites sold out after our first order, so when we asked for a second we weren’t able to get more. Sapporo on tap was great. Half of our party doesn’t drink and the mocktails were delicious. It was extremely loud inside - I think if you want a quieter meal, try to get an earlier seating, toward the back of the restaurant. Our server was lovely, but service was a bit slow at times. Over all, a good experience for a fun relaxed atmosphere.
