- CCarmenvipSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined todayWe’ve been back to Okaeri several times now and the food and service is always outstanding. This time we had dinner with our friends who just had a baby and the newborn came with us. The staff at Okaeri made every effort to make sure we were comfortable with the baby. We normally like to do the omakase set but decided to pick our own nigiri’s this time. every piece of fish was fresh and tasty, and had garnish that went really well with them. highlights were the ocean trout belly, engawa, hokkaido uni, snow crab, amaebi, and negi toro handroll. the handroll is a must get for me! for appetizers, we really liked the oyster skewers, chicken karage, and ankimo.More infoOkaeri Japanese BistroPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Mission District•4.8
- VValerieSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoUnassuming entrance, walk up the stairs, and wow! What a beautiful space. We had excellent service, knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing- we shared the French Toast and Eggs in a spicy tomato sauce (sorry! I don’t remember their Italian names). We will definitely be back.More infoChe Fico San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Italian• North Panhandle / USF•4.7
- SSophiaSan Francisco Bay Area •15 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agosuper cute little local place in the Mission. Creative takes on traditional Taiwanese food. the best dish by far was the pork belly. Was excited to taste the radish cake (luo buo gao) but it was mushy and could have used more mouth feel (a little more texture and bite to radish). THe pig face noodles had great qiu qiu (al dente ness). The wings were also really well fried. All in all, a cute local spot worth a visit. I think once they get their liquor license the bar will have a bit more energy and a vibe.More infoPiglet & CoPrice: Expensive• Asian• Mission District•4.6
- SSpencerSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days ago10 out of 10, this place was AMAZING! The blended service of ordering items of the menu and Dim sum style with the carts was fantastic. Our server gave up great advise in only ordering a few things from the menu then waiting for the carts to come around. We went here for my wife's birthday and she was so happy we did. We will for sure be back for another special occasion.More infoState Bird ProvisionsPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Western Addition•4.8
- MMichelleSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoThough I appreciated the thematic ambience, it was just a little too dark. I had to use my flashlight to read the menu and couldn’t see my food as well as I would have liked. The food was very good, some outstanding even. Especially the birriadillas. The service was a bit amateurish considering the prices. The server and busser had to be stopped on no less than 4 occasions from taking away our drinks/plates that we weren’t finished with yet. Once was forgivable. Four times was downright annoying. Not sure if I’m done yet? Ask!More infoCurioPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Mission District•4.4
