- BBarbaraLos Angeles •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI think the food is fantastic. Unique combinations that have wonderful flavor explosions. We especially love the oysters, sushi rolls and black truffle rice but everything is very, very good. The Maine lobster dumplings were nothing special and very pricey. I wouldn’t order again but that’s the first time that we didn’t care for an item. I was also disappointed that my grey goose martini was $24. That’s absurd. So the prices are up and the portions seem less. Otherwise it was a great experience and the service was great.More infoRYLAPrice: Moderate• Contemporary Asian• Hermosa Beach•4.8
- EEdwinaVIPSan Diego •17 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy big family and I have made it a bi-annual tradition to meet at Kincaid's in Redondo Beach. It's central for us, I drive from San Diego and my brother drives from Simi Valley. The rest of the family is in Los Angeles County. This makes for a few latecomers, but the staff is very accommodating. Giovanna and Isaac, our servers were on top of their game and made sure we were all comfortable and happy with everything. Even the GM came by to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is set at Redondo Pier so the view and sounds of the ocean and boat ongoings are great to people watch and enjoy Southern California. Parking is very convenient! I have 2 people who use walkers and one with a wheelchair, so accessibility is very easy. The menu is diverse without being too vast, we made good choices and EVERYTHING was delicious! My favorite appetizer is the sampler, we had to order an extra one, it went so fast! My uncle had the fish tacos and which made me envious because they looked so good. But I thoroughly enjoyed my French Dip sandwich and was happy that I ordered it. We will continue to go to Kincaid's, it's a favorite! - SsusanVIPLos Angeles •11 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoWe love the Rex, and it's our go-to for Holidays, Anniversaries, Special Occasions., and the occasional burger/fries/martini at the bar. Food is outstanding, and so is the service, usually, but on this visit, the service was way way off. It took almost 15 minutes after we were seated for anyone to greet us and take a cocktail order. Then the cocktails took a loooong time. We had an 8 pm reservation, and we arrived a little early. We were seated right away, in a nice busy dining room, but after all the delays, we ended up being the only ones left, eating dinner in an empty restaurant after 9 pm. Not good, not why we want to go to The Rex. The food and drinks were very very good as always - really hoping this service lapse doesn't continue.More infoThe Rex SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Redondo Beach•4.8
