Best Seasonal Restaurants in Occidental

Casual night out with wife, decided to go to Walter Hansel's, glad we did. Started with splitting the beet salad, very nice, 3 kinds of beets cut 3 different ways, marcona almonds, goat cheese and pea shoots with a light lemon dressing, really good. Wife had the halibut which she really liked and I had the beef "stroganoff". This version of stroganoff was done with short rib and arborio rice, really good. Had a nice bottle of the Hansel Alysse, really good. Service was great, we'll be back

The food and service was excellent. It was intimate and not overcrowded. Would definitely dine here again!

Service was excellent. And the food, well prepared and tasty. The noice level had improved dramatically. The first time we visited we could not hear ourselves talk.

Modern and comfortable dining room and lounge with spectacular view of Bodega Bay - outdoor dining and drinks with fire pits as well but inside seating is a panoramic view of the water. Food and drinks are excellent and reasonably priced with great service. The bar area is lovely for a drink to watch the sunset. An all-around great feeling place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

What a hidden gem! From the service to the food, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
