Best Seasonal Restaurants in South Side

Experienced the happy hour which was excellent! The chorizo and oysters were excellent. I highly suggest the steak and frites. The only down part was how cold it was inside. With the cold temperature it was unfortunate to have to eat with my coat on the entire time.

Post-symphony center recital Sunday moment - wandered in to this vibrant, inviting post-concert eaterie & indulged in wonderfully & uniquely seasoned mussels, complimentary bubbly, truffle-laced fries, full-bodied Chard & a tasty mocktail! The Gage has it all with laidback chic & perfect eats! Well done!

Staff were very friendly and kind about the party of five that included 100 year-old in a 98 year-old. The restaurant is a very pleasant space and the service was extraordinarily good. Most of the dishes were really exquisite. We had the four course dinner and I thought there was some repetition of dishes that had cream sauce. Maybe the menu could suggest how to choose from the selections for the four courses so that you don’t have dishes that are similar, good as they are. Fish roe and currants seemed prevalent. Also missed having something lighter with vegetables. The veloute leek potato was amazing and so was the smoked trout. The apple tartin was a real deconstructed surprise. I would highly recommend Sepia. an ambitious fine restaurant!

Proxi is a spectacular restaurant. Awesome cocktails. Excellent wine selection. And really delicious food. I have been several times, the menu is always different but nonetheless outstanding with a really interesting twist on food. And the service is just spot on. It's a restaurant I keep going back to...

Always a wonderful experience at the Berghoff. Besides the excellent traditional German food (sausages, spaetzle, sauerbraten), we had their homemade diet root beer and a their seasonal Altbier (a rare find). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are quite fair, especially for the Loop.
