The staff were all very amenable and efficient. All of them were excellent which is a good sign. Very pleasant atmosphere.More infoThe WoodsmanPrice: Very Expensive• British• Stratford-Upon-Avon•4.6
- AAshleyVIPBirmingham/West Midlands (county) •21 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoHad a post Christmas Sunday lunch yesterday and I have to say it just gets better and better!! Everybody enjoyed the roasts (the beef was sublime), the place was buzzing and our waitress was brilliant. Well done the Forest - like the postman you always deliver!!More infoThe Forest Bar & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Solihull•4.7
- MMatthewVIPCheshire •7 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoBooked as a Christmas treat as a romantic evening and the Cross delivered, absolutely on point with everything. The location is unassuming from the outside but is beautiful once you enter. Plenty of space for pre drinks before you enter the dining room. Whilst the dining room is intimate, you aren’t sat too close to other tables which tends to leave you feeling awkward in some fine dining establishments. The service was excellent with fantastic attention to detail. Before we ordered from the three course A là Carte, the Amuse-bouche and bread shared by the kitchen were both an absolute treat. The December menu that we were lucky enough to select from was outstanding. The duck egg for starters was a particular treat and we both had the fillet of beef cooked over coals - all elements outstanding with particular praise to the tartlet of beef check, perfectly executed. The deserts, we choose the Hazelnut praline Soufflé and the black forest gateau. I loved both but note the gateau packs a punch with its flavour, again something that was fantastic for me but could be a little too sweet/sour for others. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Cross which I believe, was excellent value for money.More infoThe Cross at KenilworthPrice: Very Expensive• British• Kenilworth•4.8
- JJonVIPWarwickshire •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024We had a lovely night at Baserri on Christmas Eve. The food was incredible, the wine tasting perfect and both the owners made a point of coming and talking to us (one of them coming from a couple of miles up the road from me in South London). A really great night that we’ll both treasure against a backdrop of a difficult few months. Really really well done and thank you to the whole team at BaserriMore infoBaserriPrice: Very Expensive• Basque• Leamington Spa•4.8
