Best Seasonal Restaurants in West Chicago

Lovely space, was still decorated for holidays when we went just after Christmas. Lovely sparkling Christmas Tree lights at each table. Love the backlit wine list and menu make them easy to read in this somewhat dark restaurant. Ribs are fantastic and makes it hard to try something new but two in our party had the salmon and pork chop—both quite good. Owner Dick always stops by to welcome you. Service was good. It was louder than normal with a completely full house during the holidays but normally noise is not bad. Great place, cozy feel.

We had a very nice evening at Suzettes. I made a last-minute reservation , and I'm glad I did. Duke was our server, and he was very attentive and nice. We shared the fondue, and it was very good. I had the quiche of the day, ham and asparagus; and my husband had the soup . We also shared the fresh berry crepe for dessert. It was quite a nice evening. We will be back!

From the moment we walked in, the elegant ambiance and warm hospitality set the tone for a perfect evening. The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The menu offered a fantastic selection, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The sides, especially the [specific side you enjoyed], complemented the meal beautifully. And don’t even get me started on the desserts—they were the perfect sweet finale! What truly sets Eddie Merlot’s apart is the attention to detail. From the presentation of the food to the cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere, everything was designed to make us feel special. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a high-end dining experience, Eddie Merlot’s is the place to be. We appreciate booking in advance so we can secure the alcove table (seats 8). We have 2 hearing impaired guests. Service is outstanding & the food is great. Our steaks were grilled perfectly according to order. The owner stopped by to chat. Before we left complimentary champagne was served so we could toast my daughter's birthday & celebrate Christmas Eve. My only suggestion would be to provide complementary bread for the table which I feel should be included given the price point.
