Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Gainesville

Cyprus and Tucker held an amazing service on our visit. Food and drinks were all exquisite. Love the restaurant origin story and looking forward to returning.

Though there are other more well known restaurants in Atlanta, Hal's is my favorite! The food is always excellent and the service is great! Even though I am only in Atlanta every couple of months, Kevin, my favorite waiter, remembers my drink order as well as my favorite foods. It's amazing! My husband usually has the sea bass but has also had a wonderful steak or two there. I haven't found any place that makes as good a chocolate martini! See you on my next trip to the big Apple!

Lane was amazing! Food very consistent. Lane encouraged us to try non steak items and they did not disappoint! Our #1 Atlanta steakhouse!

Persian food done right in beautiful surroundings. Our server Hana was awesome and was super helpful with helping us make selections and understand the gift card process. She did not rush us and provided excellent service. We had the kashke badamjoon for our appetizer - great portion size and tasted exactly like it should. We had the chicken barg with zeresk polo for our main course which was really good and made great leftovers.

It was a somewhat slow night however it made it much more intimate with Eduardo providing the music. We had the Chilean Seabass, and the lamb chops, which were both outstanding. It may have been the best poached fish I have had. Service was good.
