Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Steele Creek

We had an amazing Birthday dinner for my daughter at Oku last night!! They made it so special for her, she truly felt like a guest of honor as every staff member who came to our table knew it was her birthday and made her feel very special!! They truly go above and beyond! Food, vibes, service, everything was perfect! Highly recommend!!

From the entrance to the exit everything was great! We had the wedge salad, wagyu meatballs (excellent) and the sweet n spicy shrimp (I didn’t care for them, too sweet and sour) The filet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We got the broccolini and truffle fries as our sides. The broccolini had the perfect amount of crunch and seasoned perfectly. The fries could have cooked a little longer but were still very good. They give you bread which was great but also kind of sweet. Almost like a Hawaiian roll. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse which was not too sweet and very creamy, it was delicious! The butter cake with ice cream was my favorite! That was so rich and delicious! The cheesecake was ok but to be fair I’m not a huge cheesecake fan. Everything was great and the service was great as well!

I wanted a romantic area to be seated and allow for easy conversation. Drift from moment I walked until the moment we left was superb. We were greeted pleasantly and seated in a quieter area as requested with heaters surround us to keep toasty warm since it was a very cold night. The host at front arranged this and I was very happy. Also our waiters were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and served us with excellent service. Check out procedure very smooth. Manager came by twice to be sure all was good. I give 5 stars kudos to Drift the host and manager and excellent servers and the Chef’s food was very delicious. Thank you. Superb

OMG I love the new menu so much, I love coming here with friends today I brought two friends who were visiting from out of town and they were floored by the amazing atmosphere and the ambience and are server. Nivea is the epitome of professional. She made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable, and I know when I come here with guest that they will be Amazed at this gem that we have in Charlotte. Today I created my own entrée based on something I had at JG rooftop in Beverly Hills, which is caviar fries. They don’t exactly have caviar fries here, but I made my own sharing my picture. Always ask for Nivea. 

Easily my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The food and service are impeccable. The appetizers and fresh seafood were the stars of the menu. However, the pork chop and sides were phenomenal as well. The chicken friend lobster tails were my favorite item and I will be dreaming about them until I return. I do think the crab claws were a bit overpriced, but this is not a place to go when you are on a budget. Definitely a special occasion place for me and I look forward to my next visit!
