Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Wilton

It was a lovely place for Christmas dinner. There were some larger groups, but it was mostly tables of two, three or four people, so it wasn’t at all noisy. The Inn was decorated beautifully and the staff was friendly and efficient. There was a special menu, which included vegetarian options. It was the perfect place for us and we appreciate that they were open on Christmas day.

Everything about the evening was perfect. The half smoked chicken was tender and flavorful with delicious smokiness. The Bronzino was perfectly cooked. The brussels sprouts with pad Thai flavoring was rich and a treat. The smoked trout appetizer was wonderful, and the carrot cake at the end of our meal was spot on perfect. Merry Christmas. One of the best parts of the meal was the Prom Night mocktail. Wow!

It was our first visit to La Vista. We will definitely return. The food was delicious and substantial. The service was outstanding. It was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was very well attended with a price fix menu. The selections were varied to satisfy any preference. It was crowded but the wait staff handled it without a hitch. They were amazing and actually made our evening pleasurable to the point of wanting to return. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Baldanza at the Schoolhouse is the best! It's head and shoulders above any other restaurant in lower Fairfield County. The food is perfectly cooked and presented every time. The attention to detail is meticulous. My water glass was refilled quickly. The staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Last night I had the veal parmesan with homemade pasta, it was outstanding. I always share the fritto misto with fried calamari and shrimp with friends. I had the homemade carrot cake for dessert. It was moist and dense with the right amount of cream cheese frosting and dollops of homemade whipped cream om the side. My only wish is that the dining room were quieter, it's difficult to have a conversation right across the table. My vote is 4.9 stars. I love the Schoolhouse!
