Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Midway

Made last minute reservations and they were able to sit us in minutes. The food was amazing!! Sushi was so fresh and delicious. Sushi-San did not disappointment. I tried their 2014 Pinot Noir which was amazing as well.

We had a large group and the restaurant worked very hard to accommodate us. We had great service and great food and the entire experience was wonderful.

It was our first time dining at Hawksmoor and the food and service did not disappoint. As soon as we checked in at FOH, we were warmly greeted by the staff. We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation and we were asked if we could sit at the bar for the time being while they make sure guests with earlier reservations were taken care of. We were shown to the bar & ordered drinks at the bar but about 5 minutes in, our table was ready so the bartender brought our drinks to us. Rachel & her colleague (whose name escapes me) took really good care of us. They were attentive during our time there and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. My husband and I both ordered the Sunday roast and it was delicious. At first, my husband was thinking it wasn't going to be enough food since there were 2 slices of the roast but in the end, it was the right amount. The beef was tender and flavorful especially when we smeared roasted garlic on. The gravy was delicious so much so that Rachel ended up giving us an extra helping of the gravy. The roasted carrots were tender and sweet, the roasted potatoes had this crispy exterior and creamy interior. The Yorkshire pudding was a good size and delicious. My husband ordered the sour cherry america(no) mocktail and it looked like an old fashioned, I had a sip (or two) of his drink and it was delicious. I ordered the Five Alive cocktail and it's one of my top favorite cocktails. For dessert, I ordered the hot chocolate tart with brown butter ice cream and my husband had the peanut butter Louis. He said his dessert was splendid. It appeared hard to cut but it was not. He said it was creamy and had the perfect level of sweetness. The hot chocolate tart was the same thing, perfectly baked and the sweetness was just right. Even the ice cream that went with each dessert complimented them perfectly. We will definitely be back to Hawksmoor.

We got there early on Valentine's weekend to avoid drama. Was our first experience at G & G. We started with Calamari and Steak Tar Tar... Both perfect in texture and flavor. I shared Prime Rib with Wife and Daughter got Spaghetti Bolognese .. The pasta was Al Dente and meat sauce rich and amazing. Prime Rib was disappointing.. They Split cut for wife and myself ..There was over 50% fat in cuts... was difficult to navigate with knife anywhere and slice Ribeye.. We might have had that area that the fat strap ran and not mad as it happens with Beef. The only other anomaly was The Italian greeter/ manager went around and checked on tables around us.. Never came by and acknowledged our table.. it was 5:30 and not super busy..Nor did server ask us after entrees served come Back... I miss those days when spending $300 plus for two adults and one child.. Would create a value for establishment... I believe this was 7 out of 10... but small tweaks would make it 9 out of 10.

We came here for Valentine’s Day and it delivered! it was very packed, very noisy, good energy. Only gripe would be that the music is a little bit too loud, and sometimes the song didn’t really suit the vibe. The service is awesome, everybody is so nice. The food was amazing. I had the chicken Parm, it honestly was the best chicken Parm I’ve had at any restaurant. My girlfriend had the spicy gnocchi vodka pasta, and she loved it, it is very spicy though so if you have a low spice tolerance, be aware of it. The fried mozzarella is great, the calamari is good too, the cocktail sauce is a little bit subpar though. overall, it was a great night, we would definitely be coming back, and it ranks high on our list. 9.1/10 Thank you
