Plenty of delicious choices on the menu; all those we chose were extremely tasty and more than came up to expectations. This was our second visit here after a very good experience earlier in the year and we were certainly not disappointed. Everything, including the warm welcome and friendly, knowledgeable service and of course the superb food and drink was excellent and we can’t wait to return! A perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations.

Had a table for 6 booked for lunch today (Christmas eve) and it didn’t disappoint!! Food was great!! Service was great!! And Alex the restaurant manager went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time!! What a top bloke😊 Can’t wait to return for some more delicious grub!! See you all again very soon!! Surprised to find we were the only diners when we arrived on Christmas Eve for lunch, and only one other table occupied in the time we were there. The service was exemplary although there was no reason for it not to be with so few diners. Did wonder if senior kitchen staff had been given a day off as one hot starter was virtually cold and my parsnips were so undercooked I couldn’t even cut them with a knife and fork, although they were replaced some time later. It was a shame as the setting is lovely and it should have been a better experience.

Absolutely loved our tea in the lounge by the window! Food was delicious & beautifully presented. Tea was also very good (Darjeeling) and the service was impeccable! We do plan to return soon!
