I went twice during my trip to New Orleans. It was near the hotel so I met my brother there. He had the pork chop and I had the red fish. Both were fantastic. Later that week I went by myself and had the filet. Nice wine list, great food, excellent service. Would come back if in New Orleans again.

Not only was the food outstanding, but the wait staff were an absolute joy. Quick, funny and attentive, we had the best time. My husband is an extremely picky eater and they adapted the shrimp cocktail starter for him and basically invented an entirely new dish, which he devoured and loved. The only thing I would say is the amount of food for bites and starter meant that by the time my goat curry came I was very full already!

I had an amazing time and the food was incredible. I sat at a communal table and met some amazing people from around the country. Chef and his team are well-timed, well-informed, and welcoming. The black-eyed pea soup and the cassava and crab courses were my standouts. I loved the infusion of call-and-response, the cultural sharing of how you would be welcomed in a Senegalese home. I will definitely return for this experience.
