- PPatriciaNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoWe had reservations, but the place was overcrowded, and we had to wait about an hour and a half to be seated. The entrance was packed, the line was out the door. We had our parents with us who are both 87 yrs old. They had to stand up for the entire wait to be seated. It was Christmas Eve, so that might have been the reason for the excessive wait. After we were seated, our server was prompt, polite, and quick to serve our needs. The only thing is there seemed to be a disarray in the kitchen. Our server went to get us the dinner rolls three times, and they never arrived, so no rolls with our dinner. Our appetizers were served quickly, but there was a very long wait for our dinner. The server was wonderful, and she did apologize several times for the delays. Overall, the food was delicious, and the only thing not so great was all of the waiting. Our entire meal with waiting took us over three and half hour to dine.More infoBy The DocksPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Essex•4.6
- MMichaelVIPBaltimore / Maryland •16 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEverything about this place was fantastic. In addition to having the most magical holiday decor in town and a great waterfront view, the food and service were top notch. I ordered one of the specials (shrimp gnocchi in pesto sauce), which was out of this world. The bartender even indulged me by making a holiday drink not found on the cocktail menu. Parking was easy as well since Ampersea is located just outside the busy part of Fells Point. I highly recommend Ampersea to anyone who is looking for a memorable night out. It's always great, but those holiday decorations and comfort food winter specials easily put Ampersea at the top of my list at this time of year. I plan to go back next week to enjoy it in all its winter splendor one more time before those stunning decorations and delectable specials are gone.More infoAmpersea RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Harbor Point•4.5

Food was decent, although I only had a salad and wings. There was a live band. Definitely dive bar vibes. I would go back if in the area.More infoThe Waterfront HotelPrice: Moderate• American• Fells Point•4.2
