Welcome to the Steam Plant Restaurant and Brew Pub! This historical building actually functioned as a steam plant between 1916 and 1986, when the last boiler was shut down in December of that year.Then years later, the old plant was transformed from a dirty, drab industrial behemoth into a cathedral-bright architectural showcase becoming a functional commercial space while maintaining as much history and equipment as possible within the rigid guidelines of historic renovation. Fortunately, the iconic twin stacks continue to lend a uniqueness to the Spokane skyline. Since reopening in November 2021, the Steam Plant has partnered with Grain Shed Brewing whose beers are made with regionally sourced ingredients. The bar and dinner menus have been updated to showcase local favorites. I was disappointed that the 2 dishes that I had 2weeks ago were prepared differently this time. (Brussel sprouts and steak salad). Also, my daughter had a bad reaction to whatever they put on their fries. I totally loved the place the first time I went.

Sorella was perfect! The food, the ambience, and the service went above and beyond our expectations! We had the fish of the day, guanciale pasta, bolognese, affogato and espresso service at the end of our meal. The wine list was exceptional! I highly recommend Sorella as one of my favorite restaurants in Spokane!

The food was exceptional and very high quality. I wasn't sure about cooking it myself, but the process was very easy and the QR code link to a timer made it super simple to know when to pull what skewer out. The service was top notch, very friendly and helpful. We did the 4 course menu, and while pricey, we were more than happy with the evening there. I enjoyed the experience so much, I very much wanted to hug the staff when we left. I will absolutely return here next time we are in spokane.
