- CChristineNew York City •2 reviews4.0Dined todayThe food was amazing as always and the setting and service was lovely too. We were seated in the back by the hustle and bustle of the kitchen service door, making it slightly less enjoyable than usual. However we were happy to get a table for a special brunch at one of our favorite Westport restaurants.More infoTerrain Cafe – WestportPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Westport•4.7
- RrichardVIPNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAbout 5 years ago, we first visited Cottage. We hadn’t been back simply because it was so noisy you couldn’t have a conversation. We don’t tecall what day of the eeek we were there. We were delighted in our visit today,Sunday, as the music was not too loud and diners did not have to shout to be heard across the table. The soft lighting was perfect and the service was terrific. The food was so good, we’ve decided to return sometime soon!More infoThe CottagePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Westport•4.7
- CCatherineNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoHad 1 pm reservations for a Friday lunch and were seated promptly. Dining room was full which was a sign of its popularity. The dining room was nicely decorated and the table settings and tablecloths were a quality touch. Nathan, our server was exceedingly polite and welcoming: a professional in all respects. We ordered the Chicken pot pie. I noticed that no side salad was available on the menu and asked Nathan if one were available. He said it wasn’t a problem at all and the side salads provided were perfect. The pot pie was served in a a tall, cup-like dish, sitting in a lower, wider dish, topped with a puff-pastry biscuit on top. We actually weren’t sure how to eat it and Nathan explained we should remove the pastry, pour the pot pie into the larger dish, and put the pastry on top. The instructions were very helpful and given in such a way as to not embarrass us, much to Nathan’s credit. The pot pie was delicious with generously-sized portions of white meat. We ordered a side of breads, a small basket with a variety of rolls. All were freshly made and tasty. We finished with apple pie a la mode. The pie was also freshly-made and delicious, with a fluffy crust totally different than mass-produced pies. Red Lion is definitely worth the visit: both the food and staff are exceptional and the Inn is just full of character. - RRobertNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024Dining here is always a delight. The specials were a treat and the regular menu scrumptious. Not one for flowery tasting teas, I adored the "Paris" blend. Also: congratulations to the staff who are graduating and may the rest enjoy their winter break.More infoThe Bocuse Restaurant at The Culinary Institute of AmericaPrice: Expensive• French• Hyde Park•4.7
