Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland.     We went as a family, ordered spicy wontons and edamame for starters. For a family four, ordered Mongolian steak stir fry, steak fried rice and the karage chicken ramen. This was the right balance of food since we were heading to show. Only issue was the lemonade was quite tart.

    My wife and I decided to celebrate her birthday at Eleven. We were not disappointed. Everything was wonderful! We started early with $9 cocktails at the bar. We had Martinis with Plymouth Gin for only $9. They were great! Then we got $9 glasses of wine to take to our table. We ordered oysters to start, and they tasted so fresh, sweet & briny. My wife had the pork chop and I had the radiatori. They were both delicious. Finally, we had the Trio of Ice Creams with very rich & creamy vanilla bean, lavender honey, & maple brown walnut butter. They were all so good. Nick, our server was excellent too. He never rushed us, but he seemed to be always there to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything.

    We had a mid-week birthday celebration and "that was a great meal" was the universal opinion. Stephanie, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable. Food selections included ahi tuna, Bronzino, flounder, crab cakes, shrimp and scallops - all delicious preparations!

    Food was excellent and Ruby, our server, was outstanding! Very attentive and checked back multiple times plus she was very friendly. Would definitely recommend the Artisan Bread Board, Crab Cakes and Not Your Grandma’s Pretzel Salad - delicious!! We will definitely be back.
